Our Load and Force Gauges are engineered for systems where operators need to monitor the actual weight, force, or load being exerted – such as tonnes, kilonewtons (kN), or pounds (lbs) – rather than standard pressure units like bar or PSI.
Precision Calibration for Hydraulic Presses
A classic application for these instruments is on hydraulic presses and jacking systems. Because force is a product of pressure and surface area, the gauge must be precisely matched to your machinery:
- Custom Ram Calculations: To manufacture your gauge, we require the exact surface area or diameter of your hydraulic ram. Our engineering team uses this data to calculate the exact pressure-to-force ratio and calibrate the dial accordingly.
- Anti-Tamper Dial Safeguards: For safety and asset tracking, we highly recommend printing the specific ram diameter or area directly onto the custom dial face. This ensures that maintenance teams can easily verify the correct gauge is always paired with the correct ram, preventing catastrophic operational errors.

- Custom Scaling: Single or dual scales calibrated in Tonnes, kN, kg, or any specified force unit.
- Visual Safety Zones: Colour-coded bands (green/yellow/red) can be integrated to highlight safe working loads and maximum limits.
